Due to recent growth, we are looking to add a C.N.A. or Home Health Aide to our talented staff. The Home Health Aide will work with a care plan prepared by a Registered Nurse for each client to provide personal and household care. |
| Duties: | Duties and responsibilities of the Home Health Aide will include, but will not be limited to: • Provide personal care to include bathing, grooming, feeding, ambulation, exercise, oral hygiene and skin care • Provide household services essential to health care in the home • Take and chart vital signs • Report any changes or problems in the client’s condition • Shall drive from client to client daily, as required • On an on-going basis both attend in-service trainings, and check for safety measures to betaken for client and home health aide protection • In no event shall a home health aide perform any I.V. procedures, use Levin’s tubes, or Foley catheters, administer meds or remove meds from the container package, of be assigned to receive or reduce to writing Physician’s orders. |
| Qualifications: | The home health aide should meet one of the following requirements: • Hold a certificate of proof of completion of a nurse aide training course (i.e. C.N.A. or C.N.T.) • Be a nursing student with Dean / Program Director’s documentation validating competency and completion of Nursing Basics • Have a minimum of one (1) year Full Time experience within the last five (5) years as a nurse’s aide in a hospital, nursing home, or as a home health aide • Satisfactorily completes agency’s competency evaluation program (with a written exam score of 76 or above) and has a minimum of three (3) months prior experience in direct patient care. • All applicants must have a valid Texas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and evidence of current liability insurance.
